Bepoase is a village in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, West Africa. The name of the village is derived from the Twi words for mountain, bepo, and beneath, ase. Thus, it is the village at the base of the mountain. The Asante people that live in the village are farmers. The population is estimated to be about 5,000 with at least 2000 being school age. There are eight schools in the village ranging from kindergarten to high school with at least 600 children in each school. Here are some photos of the village and its people.
